Nominations for the 2024 Country Music Association Awards have been announced and Morgan Wallen leads all nominees with seven.
The 31-year-old is up for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, as well as a number of awards for "I Had Some Help," his chart-topping collaboration with Post Malone, including Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
Other multiple award nominees include Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton with five noms, followed by Post Malone and Lainey Wilson each with four.
One of the year's biggest stories in country music, Shaboozey, is nominated for New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for his summer hit, "A Bar Song (Tipsy)."
One artist who seems to be suspiciously absent from the awards is Beyoncé, whose album, Cowboy Carter, topped Billboard’s Country Music Chart for four weeks. Her single, “Texas Hold ‘Em”, also held the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs list for ten weeks. That sure seems worthy of something.
Winners of the awards will be decided in a final round of voting by eligible voting CMA members.
