Canadian band Anemone is appealing for donations after thousands of dollars worth of gear was stolen during a tour stop in Portland, Oregon.

“We’re so so sad and have no words to describe how desperate we're all feeling right now,” reads a message on a GoFundMe page set up by the Montreal-based band.

Anemone’s rented van was broken into early Friday outside an AirBnB residence where the musicians were staying. The band had played in Portland on Thursday night.

“They took everything, every last bit of our vintage gear and our rental gear (which we have to reimburse),” the band explained. “They took our records. They took our guitars, keyboards, amps, drums, clothing.”

As a result of the theft, Anemone was forced to cancel weekend shows in Boise and Salt Lake City. The band is scheduled to fly overseas this week to do shows in Germany, Belgium and the UK.

“We don't know if we're gonna be able to continue the tour, but we would like to try.”

As of Sunday morning, the GoFundMe campaign had raised more than $13,000 of its $27,000 goal.

Anemone is made up of Chloé Soldevila, Miles Dupire-Gagnon, Gabriel Lambert, Zachary Irving and Samuel Gemme. Their new album Beat My Distance is due out in February.

The band is scheduled to perform Nov. 16 in their hometown.
