The Montreal International Jazz Festival unveiled its 2024 lineup earlier this week and notable names include André 3000, Norah Jones and Hiatus Kaiyote.
This year's free outdoor programming includes concerts from Charlotte Day Wilson, Freddie Gibbs and Orville Peck.
In a statement, Director of Programming, Maurin Auxéméry, proudly boasted the variety that his team was able to lineup for this summer. "Jazz constantly takes its cues from current music styles, and it in turn seeps into rock, pop and hip-hop, to name just a few. This interdependence is really exciting, as it testifies to the relevance of jazz in our soundscape."
Earlier this month, festival organizers also announced plans for a special musical tribute to late filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallée.
The 44th edition of the Montreal International Jazz Festival runs from June 27-July 6 at various venues around the Quartier des spectacles. Tickets for indoor shows go on sale Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m.
