The MTV Video Music Awards certainly never fail to entertain, and are famous for the incredible performances and unexpected controversial moments. This year should prove to be no different.
Katy Perry, who is up for five awards, will be hosting the show, and is set to perform a medley of tracks from her recently released album Witness. She is expected to start the night by descending from the ceiling to a remix of the theme music from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Other big-name performers set to take the stage include Pink (this year’s winner of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award), Kendrick Lamar, Fifth Harmony, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, DNCE with Rod Stewart – and Canada’s Shawn Mendes and Alessia Cara.
On top of the awards, performances and celebrity presenters, many are waiting with bated-breath for the premiere of Taylor Swift’s video for her comeback single "Look What You Made Me Do", from her upcoming album Reputation. Watch the teaser clip below:
The ceremony will air on Much on Sunday at 8:00 pm EST.
