Montreal musicians Jason Rockman and Kevin Jardine have brought together an eclectic group of rock, rap and pop artists for a new project benefiting live music crews impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown.
Calling themselves The Kings of Quarantine, the pair from Slaves on Dope enlisted Frank Bello (Anthrax), Ray Luzier (Korn), Bill Kelliher (Mastodon), Ivan Doruschuk (Men Without Hats), Dennis Lyxén (Refused), Walter Shreifels (Quicksand), Kevin Sharp (Brutal Truth), Darryl McDaniels (Run DMC), Esoteric (Czarface), Richard Patrick (Filter) and Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace) for a cover of the 1985 Faith No More track “We Care a Lot.”
“Kevin and I have always been massive fans of Faith No More and having the opportunity to cover one of their songs with such great company has been a dream come true,” said Rockman (an iHeartRadio personality). “We are so grateful to all the musicians involved that accepted our invitation.”
All profits from sales of the recording are being donated to Roadie Relief.
The song comes with a video showing the musicians contributing their parts remotely – as well as a special appearance from Faith No More bassist Billy Gould.
