My Chemical Romance have announced they will be embarking on a tour next year billed as “Long Live:” The Black Parade North American Tour.
The emo icons will play ten stadiums in cities across the continent, featuring a different opening act for each show, including the likes of Evanescence, Death Cab For Cutie, Alice Cooper and Devo, among others. See the full list of support acts and tour dates below.
One lone Canadian show has been announced at the Rogers Centre on Friday, August 22 with special guests Pixies.
On their website, the band posted a cryptic message, alluding to the recent U.S. election and the return to power for president-elect Donald Trump. It reads:
It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about "THE CONCRETE AGE”; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG. His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator's National Band... The Black Parade.
