My Chemical Romance is reuniting – at least for one night.
The alt-rock band, which split up in 2013 after 12 years and four studio albums, announced Thursday a show on Dec. 20 at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Rumours that the members of MCR – Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Mickey Way – were working on something together were sparked in June by Joe Jonas.
“My Chemical Romance apparently were rehearsing next to us in New York recently,” he said during a radio interview. “I thought they broke up, so I don’t know.”

MCR had success with tracks like “Sing,” “Welcome to the Black Parade” and “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” but called it quits in 2013. “Now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end,” they said in a statement at the time.
Next month’s show will be the first live performance by MCR since 2012.
