Tickets go on sale Friday morning for A Night For Neil, a special concert in memory of Rush drummer Neil Peart, who died in January at 67.
The event will be held at the Meridian Centre in the iconic drummer’s hometown of St. Catharines, Ont. on May 16. Proceeds will benefit several local charities.
Peart’s parents Glen and Betty said they are grateful to the organizers of the tribute show. “We are especially pleased to be able to support this charity event that will benefit some much-needed organizations that are close to our hearts,” they said, in a release.
A Night For Neil will include “an array of performers and speakers” who will pay tribute to Peart. It is not yet known if his Rush bandmates Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be involved.
