Neil Young’s songs are back on Apple Music.
The Canadian icon has made his catalogue available on streaming services a little more than a year after pulling most of it due to what he called poor sound quality.
“I don’t need my music to be devalued by the worst quality in the history of broadcasting or any other form of distribution,” he wrote in a 2015 message. “I don’t feel right allowing this to be sold to my fans. It’s bad for my music.”
Among the tracks Young is now allowing to be streamed is “Peace Trail,” the title track from his latest album, which comes out Dec. 9.
The song is an instant download for fans who pre-order the album from his website.
The 10-song collection comes just a few months after the release of his album Earth.
