Neil Young is giving his fans more in the Archives.
The Canadian music icon posted the first issue of the Neil Young Times-Contrarian on Wednesday and revealed that he’ll be releasing Roxy - Tonight’s The Night Live in March.
The release spotlights a show Young played in Los Angeles with the Santa Monica Flyers in 1973.
“We really knew the Tonight's The Night songs after playing them for a month," Young shared. "So we just played them again, the album, top to bottom, without the added songs, two sets a night, for a few days. We had a great time.”
Also coming to Young’s Archive is ALCHEMY, which follows his 2012-13 Crazy Horse world tour.
Fans can access the Neil Young Archives for free – at least for now.
“We plan on a couple of levels of subscription with many exclusive features for the top level,” Young wrote. "We don't want to lose our listeners so we are making it very low priced and attractive, with all kinds of perks.”
In the inaugural issue of the Neil Young Times-Contrarian, the rocker also revealed that a late-2018 tour is in the works.
