Neon Dreams’ hit “Marching Bands” has earned the Halifax band its first Gold certification.
"Thank you everyone who streamed/downloaded or supported the track," reads a message on the band's Instagram.
The song, which features Kardinal Offishall, has sold over 40,000 units in Canada. It comes from the 2016 Neon Dreams EP To You.
“Marching Bands” was written by Frank Kadillac about how he fell in love with music.
Among the band’s fans is prime minister Justin Trudeau, who included “Confessions” on his official summer playlist. At last weekend’s Pride celebrations in Halifax, Trudeau met the band and posed for a photo.
A new Neon Dreams EP, Wolf, Princess & Me, is scheduled for release on Sept. 22.
