Nick Jonas and Mariah Carey are among the Golden Globe nominees announced early Monday.
The two singers earned nods in the Best Original Song category – Jonas for co-writing “Home” from the Ferdinand soundtrack with Justin Tranter and Carey for co-writing the title song to The Star with Marc Shaiman.
They are up against Raphael Saadiq, Mary J. Blige and Taura Stinson for Saadiq’s “Mighty River” from Mudbound; Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for “Remember Me” from Coco; and Benj Pasek and Justin Paul for “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman.
Best Original Score nominees are Carter Burwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water), Jonny Greenwood (Phantom Thread), John Williams (The Post) and Hans Zimmer (Dunkirk).
