Nickelback gave us an exciting new look at their album, Feed The Machine, which is out today (June 16). The Canadian rockers performed a new track, “Song On Fire”, as well as a mix of favourites including “How You Remind Me”, “Gotta Be Somebody” and “Rockstar”.
It was all for their iHeartRadio Album Release Party, which took place Tuesday (June 14) in New York at the iHeartRadio Theater. During their 12-song set, the band discussed how grateful they were to still be going strong. “It’s such a blessing that we’re able to make rock, make hard rock, make melodic music, make funny music, we can say the most ridiculous things in our songs and get away with it for some reason.”
They also riled up fans about their latest release. “We won’t release anything; we won’t say there’s a finish line unless we’re happy with it. Right now, every single song, there’s not one moment where I sit there and I’m not excited…”
The 11-track album is the band’s follow-up to 2014’s No Fixed Address. It’s their ninth studio album and first in three years. The band will be going on tour to support the release of the album, making pit stops in Toronto, Montréal, Calgary and Vancouver – among other Canadian cities. See the full list of dates here!
