Nicki Minaj's video look for "Light My Body Up," her new collaboration with David Guetta and Lil Wayne, will likely raise a few eyebrows, considering it, you know, includes a mask, claws and knee-long braids that could seriously be used as whips of some sort.
Over the weekend, the Young Money rapper took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes shots of the forthcoming visual, which was shot in Miami, and it features one eye-popping getup. With gold claws attached to arm-long gloves, masked headgear, and a skimpy two-piece ensemble, Minaj is seen serving it up before a metallic backdrop. Guetta is also featured in one shot, posing next to Billboard's Hot 100 queen.
Elsewhere in her posts, the MC takes a trip down memory lane, letting readers in on a sweet story between her and Weezy. "I am da ninja. Weezy is my sensei. So I call him Splinter. Faster than a sprinter. Gimme my chopsticks I'll have these rap btchs 4 dinner," she wrote in a caption in reference to her bars from an old freestyle with Wayne called "Go Hard."
"It was my first time listening to it WITH him in the same room. Same studio right here in Miami," she continued. "He looked me dead in the eyes and in that (whisper voice), he smiled & said 'I fuk wit it Nic, but the only thing is that... Splinter was a RAT. And we don't FUK wit no RATSSSSSSS'"
"Light My Body Up" was released on Friday (Mar. 23) and currently sits at the No. 32 spot on the iTunes single chart, so we can only expect a bump once the visual drops. Stay tuned!
