Actress and comedian Niecy Nash shared the happy news Monday that she has married singer-songwriter Jessica Betts.
The 50-year-old Reno 911! star posted a photo from the couple’s outdoor wedding and captioned it: “Mrs. Carol Denise Betts.” (Nash was born Carol Denise Ensley.)
Betts, 48, is a Chicago native who appeared on the 2005 competition series Road to Stardom, which was hosted by Missy Elliott. She released the single “Catch Me” in 2018.
Sharing the same wedding photo as Nash, the singer wrote: “Got a whole Wife.” Both included the hashtag “#LoveWins.”
The wedding came 11 months after Nash and Jay Tucker, her husband of eight years, went public with their divorce. “Our truth is that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage,” they said in a statement last October.
Nash and Betts had kept their relationship private. In June 2018, Betts posted a video clip showing her on the set of Claws, with Nash in a wedding dress. That same month, Nash shared an Instagram Story captioned "Love me some @jessicabettsmusic" – which Betts posted to her Instagram.
