Organizers have pulled the plug on a New Year’s Eve party that was scheduled to feature rock acts like Our Lady Peace and the Sam Roberts Band.

The 2-IN-TENTS event in Ontario was also set to include performances by Honeymoon Suite, Buckcherry, Eric Ethridge, Monster Truck and Bon Jovi tribute act Keep the Faith.

In a Facebook post, organizer Troy James of Elysian Entertainment said moving the party from the Grand Bend Motorplex to the Western Fair District Agriplex an hour away in London, Ont. resulted in many refund requests.

"We were down to less than 230 ticket holders,” he explained, before blaming the cancellation on difficulties securing an insurance certificate in time.

“The nonstop effort of everyone involved has run us all into the ground emotionally and physically which ultimately led us to losing over a million dollars,” wrote James.

Refunds will be given out beginning Dec. 28.

“I apologize more than words can express that we had to do this and I hope you can forgive this in the future,” James added.
