Olivia Rodrigo has announced she will release her third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, on June 12.
While details of the album are scarce, the 23-year-old recorded it with producer Daniel Nigro, who worked with her on both her debut album SOUR and its follow-up, GUTS.
On her socials, Rodrigo posted the album's cover, along with the caption, "I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it."
Along with the album news, she also launched a merch drop, featuring all sorts of physical editions of the album as well as limited edition apparel. Check that out here.
While no music has been released to coincide with the announcement, last year Rodrigo told Riot Grrl icon and Bikini Kill singer Kathleen Hannah that she had been "diving deeper into The Cure’s discography, as well as some of their contemporaries like New Order and Joy Division."
So perhaps we can expect some synths and a goth-y vibe, which kinda fits an album titled you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
