Police are investigating a shooting outside Drake's mansion in Toronto's Bridle Path neighbourhood.
According to Toronto Police Service, one man was seriously injured in the gunfire and rushed to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Police also confirmed that Drake was not the man in question.
Update: The injured person is a 48-year-old security guard, who was hit multiple times in a drive-by shooting outside the mansion. His injuries are deemed non-life-threatening. He was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital and taken into surgery.
Drake's home near Park Lane Circle and Post Road was blocked off by police tape and patrol cars, which were seen outside of the estate. Sources say the rapper (real name Aubrey Graham) has agreed to cooperate with the investigation.
The shooting follows a weekend of back-and-forth jabs between Drake and L.A. rapper Kendrick Lamar, amidst a highly publicized, exhaustingly endless rap beef.
One of the diss tracks by Lamar, "Not Like Us," even used an aerial shot of Drake's mansion as the cover art, adding numerous sex offender icons around the property to support his speculation that the Toronto superstar is a "certified pedophile."
