Organizers of a summer music festival featuring Canadian singer Daniel Caesar announced on Sunday they are pulling the plug on this year’s edition.
The FYF Festival was scheduled to take place July 21 and 22 at Exposition Park in Los Angeles with a line-up that included Janet Jackson, Future, St. Vincent and Florence + The Machine.
“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel FYF Fest 2018,” read a statement shared online.
“Our team … felt unable to present an experience on par with the expectations of our loyal fans and the Los Angeles music community this year.”
It is the first time since the festival has been scrapped since it began in 2004.
This year’s FYF Festival reportedly suffered from poor ticket sales. Late last year, founder Sean Carlson stepped down and sold his stake in the festival after accusations of sexual assault by several women.
Canadians who have previously played at FYF Festival include Broken Social Scene and Mac DeMarco.
