Performances at Ottawa Bluesfest were cut short Friday night due to dangerous weather conditions.
At first, shows were delayed roughly 30 minutes due to a heavy downpour and lightning.
The band Live eventually took the stage but was able to do only a few songs before thunder and lightning rolled back in. A message on the screens at the festival site asked fans to leave.
On another stage, Canadian group A Tribe Called Red was also forced to cut short their performance.
Just before 10:30 pm, organizers tweeted: “Due to weather, shows tonight will not be resuming.”
The weather woes came one night after police were called in to deal with hundreds of rowdy fans who started throwing rocks and other objects. A video posted online shows a crowd of young people breaching the perimeter fence.
Migos and Lil Yachty were among the performers on Thursday night.
Officials said 10 people, including six minors, were taken to hospital for treatment of injuries or intoxication.
In 2011, a storm slammed Ottawa Bluesfest and caused a stage to collapse moments after Cheap Trick performed. Several people were injured.
Ottawa Bluesfest wraps up this weekend with performances by acts like Muse, Bob Moses, Tim Hicks and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
