Ozzy Osbourne and guitarist Zakk Wylde came to the rescue of a Newfoundland man whose collection of hard rock and metal albums was lost when someone stole and totalled his car.
Josh Cook of St. John’s was delivering pizza to an apartment building last winter when someone took off with his car – and his CDs.
Cook later found his car, damaged beyond repair, sitting outside the same building.
He shared his story with local media and it somehow got the attention of Wylde, whose publicist asked for Cook’s mailing address. Days later, a box full of Black Label Society swag arrived.
Then, Cook was surprised to get another delivery – a box filled with Ozzy Osbourne T-shirts and the rock veteran’s complete discography, including solo CDs and Black Sabbath albums. There was also an autographed photo of Osbourne.
“These guys, they don't know who I am,” Cook told CBC News. "But they set me up with all this stuff. It's amazing.”
