P!nk has been named the year’s highest-grossing touring artist worldwide.
According to Pollstar, the 40-year-old pop star sold 1.8 million tickets to her Beautiful Trauma World Tour at 59 venues to gross $215.2 million (all figures U.S.) in the 12 months ending Nov. 20. In all, the tour grossed $384.4 million from 156 shows in front of 3.1 million people on four continents.
P!nk brought the Beautiful Trauma tour to Toronto for four shows (March 2018 and August 2019), three shows in Vancouver (May 2018 and April 2019) and a pair in Montreal (May 2019).
Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour generated $212 million this year, putting him in second place on the Pollstar list, followed closely by Ed Sheeran with $211.7 million from his Divide tour. The latter holds the record as the top-grossing concert tour of all time.
Rounding out the year’s Top 5 are Metallica with $179 million and The Rolling Stones with $177.8 million.
The highest-grossing Canadian artist on Pollstar’s year-end list is Michael Bublé, who sold over 1 million tickets to 90 shows to rake in $115.7 million. Shawn Mendes ranked 18th with $86.6 million and Céline Dion’s tour grossed $58.7 million to take the No. 33 spot.

Pollstar ranked Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena No. 10 on its list of 2019’s top arenas in the world for concert ticket sales (827,480) and the city’s Budweiser Stage No. 16 on its list of top amphitheatres (192,179 tickets). Arenas in Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa also made the Top 200.
On the list of the year’s 200 top clubs for live music, the only Canadian venues to make the cut are in the Montreal area. MTELUS is No. 8 with 152,556 tickets sold followed by L’Olympia at No. 29 (82,853), Corona Theatre at No. 44 (66,392) and Brossard’s Le Club Dix30 is 78th (43,965).
