In a candid interview with Rolling Stone, Paris Jackson revealed a lot of hardships she's been through since her father Michael Jackson's death in 2009 -- and the 18-year-old shared some serious thoughts about the cause of MJ's death.
Jackson said she cut her wrists over 20 times, and even swallowed 20 Motrin pills once, in the years following her dad's death.
“It was self-hatred,” she admitted, adding that these actions were caused by “low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore.”
Fortunately, after transferring to a new school in Utah, Jackson started doing much better. “I’m a completely different person,” she said. “I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help.”
Another hardship she faced occurred when she was 14 years old. Without going into much detail, Jackson revealed she was sexually assaulted. "It was not a good experience, at all, and it was really hard for me, and, at the time, I didn’t tell anybody.”
Jackson adamantly believes that her father was murdered. She's determined to find the truth one day. “He would drop hints about people being out to get him. And at some point he was like, ‘They’re gonna kill me one day,’” she said. “It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls---t, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bulls---t.
“It’s a chess game. And I am trying to play the chess game the right way. And that’s all I can say about that right now.”
