Part of P!NK's performance at Québec City's Festival D’été (FEQ) on Saturday will be broadcast worldwide in virtual reality.
That means that no matter where you are, P!NK’s outdoor concert on the sweeping Plains of Abraham will be available to enjoy as if you were there in person! The special VR experience, presented by Bell, will be produced by Montreal's arnoovo.
“We are delighted that an artist like P!NK agreed to embark on this adventure,” said Daniel Gélinas, general manager of the festival, in a release. “Without her collaboration, and that of her team, we would not be able to pull off this bold initiative, which will once again put the FEQ front and centre.”
All across Canada, Bell virtual reality stations will be broadcasting a portion of the concert live – including at the Bell Pavilion in the Cœur du FEQ, at the Bell Stage at the Montréal International Jazz Festival, and at the Calgary Stampede.
“Bell is extremely pleased to present this live virtual reality experience – a first in Canada – as part of the Festival d’été de Québec’s 50th anniversary celebrations,” said Martine Turcotte, Bell’s vice chair, Québec. “Led by 3 innovative Québec companies, this project will help boost the visibility of both the FEQ and Québec on the world stage, a key objective of Bell’s partnership with FEQ."
