The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon recruited his buddy Paul McCartney, along with his in-house band The Roots and the cast of Sing, to bring spirits up with their a cappella rendition of "Wonderful Christmastime" on Tuesday night.
The video, which was shot in a Brady Bunch-inspired grid format, opens with Fallon and the Roots, before Sing stars Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Tori Kelly, Scarlett Johansson, Seth McFarlane and more are gradually added and transformed into their animated characters.
Sing, which opens in theaters this Wednesday (December 21), follows the story of koala Buster Moon who puts together a singing competition to save his suffering theater. The animated film -- from the makers of Despicable Me, Minions, and The Secret Life of Pets -- was written and directed by Garth Jennings.
"Wonderful Christmastime" was recorded by McCartney in 1979 for his solo project McCartney II, and has since become a Christmas classic.
