Paul Simon is getting closer to stepping out of the spotlight.

The 76-year-old music icon has scheduled what is being called a “farewell performance” on July 15 in London’s Hyde Park.

Homeward Bound: The Farewell Performance is set to include James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt.

Simon has toyed with retirement before, though. In 1996, a New York Times writer asked him if he was done performing. "Absolutely," he replied.

Then, in 2016, Simon told the New York Times that show business “doesn’t hold any interest for me” and he promised to “see what happens if I let go.”

Simon, who has released 13 solo studio albums since 1965, reunited with Art Garfunkel in 1993 for a “farewell” concert in Hyde Park.
