Post Malone is heading into summer by launching a rosé named for his favourite tarot card, the Nine of Swords.
Maison No. 9 is a 2019 French wine made from 45% Grenache, 25% Cinsault, 15% Syrah and 15% Merlot that comes in a turret-shaped bottle.
“Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy,” Malone said, in a release. “It’s a nice switch up and I have been thinking about doing my own wine for a while. Maison No. 9 goes down smooth, and you’re all going to love it!”
The rap star and manager Dre London partnered with James Morrissey of Global Brand Equities to create the rosé with winemaker Alexis Cornu. After sampling 50 blends, they came up with a “light, accessible rosé” that boasts notes of “ripe pineapple, pear and strawberry.”
Malone is, of course, not the first music star to market a rosé. Jon Bon Jovi and son Jesse Bongiovi partnered with French winemaker Gerard Bertrand on one called Hampton Water.
Maison No. 9 will be available in June.
