A nondescript white plastic access card that once allegedly belonged to Prince sold at auction on Saturday for $1250 (all figures USD).
According to Heritage Auctions, Prince used the card to enter and exit the gated garage on the Paisley Park grounds.
“According to the music icon's former bodyguard and trusted associate, one side is smeared with makeup due to being kept in a bag containing Prince's cosmetics,” read a description.
The card was one of several items auctioned on Saturday that once belonged to Prince, who died in April 2016.
Among the other piece sold at auction were a metal ear cuff with zirconium stones that Prince wore – which went for $6,250 – and a pair of black suede wedge shoes that went for $5,000. A one-of-a-kind flip camera commissioned for his Lotusflow3r album release party in 2009 was sold for $1,250.
Someone paid $4,250 for a piece of hotel stationary on which Prince allegedly wrote a note to his lawyer. It read: "TELL DAVID: UNAUTHORIZED PICS ON PRINCE.ORG.COM NEED 2 COME DOWN. ASAP".
