If you wanted to commemorate the legacy of the one and only Prince, ticketholders now have the opportunity to visit the museum at his Paisley Park on select days.
Even though the Chanhassen, Minnesota City Council requested more time to study the museum's effect on local traffic, parking and public and pedestrian safety, the reported delay has been amended to allow ticket holders into the studio.
Guests who purchased tickets to the tour on Thursday, Saturday and next Friday will be able to go through the Purple Wonder's legendary home and studio complex. Ticket holders for any of the other dates will be given refunds for their original purchase.
Full-time operation of the musuem may not happen until December.
Council member Bethany Tjornhorn previously expressed concerned because Chanhassen is located outside Minneapolis and St. Paul and the city needed time to decide weather it wanted to be deemed a "tourist town."
If you can't make way to Prince's Paisley Park, you'll be happy to learn that the estate is in talks with the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota to host an exhibit for the late icon with plenty of artifacts and fashion pieces. It is expected to open early next week to the public. Paisley Park ticket holders will also be able to use their museum stubs at the exhibit.
Prince died on April 21 of an accidental overdose from the painkiller fentanyl at Paisley Park. He was 57 years old.
