Rage Against the Machine are reportedly reuniting for a tour early next year – nine years after what fans thought was the band’s last show.
According to an unverified Instagram account, three concerts are scheduled for late March in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona ahead of headlining spots at the 2020 edition of Coachella on April 10 and 17.
Coachella has not yet released its line-up and no one representing the band has commented publicly. Both Rolling Stone and Billboard cite sources as confirming the dates posted on Instagram are legitimate.
Rage Against the Machine headlined the very first Coachella in 1999 and, despite breaking up in 2000, they reunited several times over the years to perform live. The band’s last show was in July 2011 in Los Angeles.
Rage Against the Machine hasn’t released a studio album since 2000’s Renegades.
