Canadian rock icon Randy Bachman invited a total stranger to Neil Young’s iHeartRadio Secret Sessions concert in Omemee, Ont. on Friday night.
According to a tweet by the founding member of The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Barry Killen found Bachman's cell phone and called one of the musician's friends to arrange for its return.
"He said all he wanted was a selfie but I have 2 tix to Neil Young's show tonight so we're going to rock out," Bachman shared. "People like this make me so proud to be Canadian!”
Young’s acoustic concert celebrating the release of his album The Visitor – and an unveiling of an online archive or the musician’s life work – was an invite-only event for 225 people, though it was streamed online. Proceeds from the event were donated to the local Scott Young Public School, named after Young's father.
