French Montana, Nas and Ice T are among those paying tribute to rapper Fred the Godson, who died from complications of COVID-19. He was 35.
“So many dreams so many conversations so many great times we had,” wrote Fat Joe on Instagram. "I am in shock to say the least i love you soooooooo much little brother it’s been years since i felt this pain.
“Maybe now the world will pay attention to your greatness.”
Fred the Godson, whose real name was Frederick Thomas, was hospitalized earlier this month and placed on a ventilator.
The New York rapper collaborated with hip hop artists like Meek Mill, Pusha T and Diddy during his career.
Ice T tweeted about his friend’s death. “People that say this s**t aint real should get punched in the face.. This is not a Fn game.”
Fred the Godson leaves behind wife LeeAnn Jemmott and their two children.
