Reba McEntire is celebrating the life of her mother Jacqueline, who died Saturday at the age of 93.
“She had a wonderful, full, healthy life and was absolutely ready to go,” the country singer shared on social media. “The cancer might think it won the battle but we’re giving God all the credit on selecting the time for her to go home to Him.
“She was ready to see our Daddy, her mama and daddy and all her family and friends.”
McEntire, 64, said Jacqueline died “knowing how much she is loved and we all know how much she loved us.”
She added: “We’re all going to miss her but we have so many wonderful memories.”
McEntire's father Clark died in 2014 at 86.
Condolences poured in from fans and McEntire’s music community. “What an amazing lady your mama raised,” Kristin Chenoweth commented.
