One of the Red Hot Chili Peppers got a little too hot under the collar at a Los Angeles Lakers game on Saturday night.
Singer Anthony Kiedis was given a time-out after he shouted expletives and gave the finger to Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets and members of the visiting team’s staff.
A security guard stepped in and escorted Kiedis away from the kerfuffle – and, maybe, suggested he take the higher ground.
Video of the singer's outburst hit social media, of course, but contrary to some reports, Kiedis was not ejected from the arena.
AK (Anthony Kiedis) from Red Hot Chilie Peppers should of gotten kicked out the game for yelling profanities and flipping the bird to Chris Paul and the #Rockets staff. This is unacceptable @Lakers if this was a regular joe/fan he would of got kicked out the building. #NBA pic.twitter.com/ntSAGhlNku

Watching calmly from his courtside seat was Chili Peppers bassist Flea, who later took to Instagram with a very zen recap.
“At the lakers game last night with my dear brother,” he wrote. “It Got crazy at the end, but man I get so satisfied, deeply drinking in the depth and beauty of the game. People operating at a high level in so many dimensions. Cerebral, physical, spiritual, emotional, unspoken and telepathic communication. I truly love basketball with my [heart].”
