Singer, actress, and businesswoman Rihanna is the subject of a new documentary that dives deep into her life and career.
Filmmaker Peter Berg describes the film as an examination of a "young artist at the top of her professional career."
News of the film broke in 2015 and was originally slated for release two years later. Berg, director of the 2012 film Battleship, is credited with giving Rihanna her acting debut. In an interview with Slash Film, Berg provided some insight on exactly why he believes in examining the life of the self-described "bad gal."
He said: "She’s an extraordinary young woman and it really is kind of a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes in to making her this talent that she is. The work ethic, the talent, luck, the hustle, the vision."
Berg said the doc will be out "in about a month and half, two month."
