Rihanna has surpassed Madonna, Beyoncé and Canada’s Céline Dion to become the wealthiest female in music.
Forbes estimated this week that the 31-year-old singer is worth $600 million (all figures U.S.), thanks to her music and business ventures like her Fenty Beauty makeup line and Savage X Fenty lingeries collection.
Fenty Beauty is valued at an estimated $3 billion and it is believed Rihanna owns about 15 per cent. (A spokesperson for the singer disputed the figure, according to Forbes.)
Rihanna is ranked at No. 37 on the Forbes list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women. Madonna is at No. 39 with an estimated worth of $570 million and Céline Dion is at No. 46 with $450 million.
Also on the list are Beyoncé (No. 51), Barbra Streisand (No. 51), and Taylor Swift (No. 60).
Earlier this week, Forbes named Jay-Z the first hip-hop billionaire.
