After some not so flattering photos of Rihanna surfaced on the blogosphere, rumours spread that the pop titan was apparently pregnant or had at least put on a few pounds. Always the clever Millennial, the 29-year-old star had the perfect response to all the fuss about her physical appearance with the unsolicited help of Gucci Mane.
On Tuesday (June 6), Bad Gal RiRi took to Instagram to share a meme that expressed just exactly how she felt about the whole debacle. In the post, which included side-by-side photos of the ATL rapper looking thick and thin, viewers understood the singer's message loud and clear with the meme's hovering text: "If you can't handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don't deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane."
It's all very telling of the pop titan's attitude on the matter, and as we already know, Rihanna takes absolutely no crap. At time of press, the response had over 700,000 likes, proving that the reply did the trick. Scroll on below to the see the meme!
Last week, sports blog Barstool Sports caught major flack when he called the singer overweight with an unfortunate headline: "Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?" In the piece, the blogger called out Rih for "enjoying that good room service a bit too long." Barstool founder David Portnoy published a statement on the controversy, but did not apologize for the article. "To be honest I don't think the blog was as bad as many are making it out to be, but I'll tell you this. It wasn't that funny either and I could have told you with absolute certainty that feminists would hate it and use it as an example of 'there goes Barstool being Barstool again,'" Portnoy wrote in the letter.
