Rihanna is coming under fire for using a track that samples a Hadith in her recent Savage x Fenty show.
Hadiths are records of the traditions or sayings of the Prophet Muhammad and are sacred to Muslims.
The show, which was taped last month at the Los Angeles Convention Center and debuted on Amazon Prime on Oct. 2, includes part of London artist Coucou Chloe’s 2016 track “Doom.” It contains a sped-up Hadith about the signs of the day of judgement.

“rihanna is responsible for this even if she didn’t choose the music,” read one tweet. “she hired her team and she must’ve heard the songs beforehand and just because she’s rihanna doesn’t give her a free pass to disrespect a religion.”
Another person opined: “okay the fact that rihanna's show was supposed to be a keystone for 'inclusion' while she completely alienated the Muslim community by disrespecting a Hadith recitation is the perfect showcase of how fashion brands & the media have never considered us as a part of their audience.”
UPDATE: Rihanna and Coucou Chloe have issued separate apologies.

as a muslim, no words can describe how disappointed i am with rihanna for letting her models dance to hadith. if you are not muslim, you are not allowed to tell us how to feel about this situation. and stop calling us dramatic over this. and you can’t decide for us if we have to
