Rihanna continues to be the kind of person we all aspire to be. First, she's awarded Harvard's Humanitarian of the Year title. Then, she's downing Tequila shots at a screening party with her friends. And now, her Clara Lionel Foundation, which is named after her grandparents, will host its 3rd annual Diamond Ball at New York City's Cipriani Wall Street on September 14 for the very first time.
News surfaced on Wednesday (Mar. 22) when the pop titan announced the black-tie event via a press release. "New York always offers the perfect backdrop for an amazing event, which is why I am thrilled to have the Diamond Ball there," RiRi said in an official statement. "It's a great way to celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation's accomplishments, as well as bring awareness to our mission globally. I know it'll be a night to remember!"
Rihanna's Diamond Ball raises funds for the foundation's global initiatives against inequality, injustice and poverty. Back in 2015, the affair raised over $3 million in donations. Initially launched in 2014, the event has seen previous special guests like Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian, Big Sean, Will Smith, Kylie Jenner, Zendaya and Kevin Hart.
