Rihanna indicated on Sunday she’s ready to stop her music from being played at Donald Trump’s rallies.
Washington Post reporter Philip Rucker tweeted that Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music” was “blaring” at a rally in Chattanooga – prompting the pop superstar to tweet a reply.
“Not for much longer,” Rihanna wrote. “Me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads philip!”
Fans immediately reacted to Rihanna’s apparent plan to shut it down. “...and just like that, my love for Rihanna was reignited,” tweeted Trevor Boot. Laura Myers wrote: “Give em hell queen.”
Only a few hours earlier, Rihanna had tweeted her support for Democratic candidate Andrew Gillum in Florida. “You have the opportunity to make history this election,” she tweeted to her 88.8 million followers.
Other music artists have gone after Trump for playing their songs during his campaign and at his presidential rallies, including Pharrell Williams and Neil Young.
