We are only one week away from Metallica's highly-anticipated tenth album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct. While the band has played a handful of shows to promote the few songs released off the project, they have not spoken on touring behind the new album. In a recent radio interview, bassist Robert Trujillo may have confirmed the band's plan for a stadium tour across North America.
When asked about the rumors surrounding the tour, Trujillo remarked, “I hope it’s happening!” He added: “We have an album, it’s coming out, it’s great, I love it. I think it’s sonically… for me, I think it’s the best sounding Metallica album ever. And we want to play all these songs. We love these songs and we love what we’ve done and want to share it with our friends all over the U.S. and all over the world, so I would say yes.”
Trujillo's statement supports Lars Ulrich's comment at the band's intimate performance at Webster Hall in New York City in September, where he said Metallica would perform at a Stadium across the river, most likely alluding to Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.
Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, the band's first-ever double album, will be released on November 18th.
