Toronto Police are seeking the public’s help to find a woman who allegedly stole a rock with Yoko Ono’s handwriting.
The rock, inscribed with “love yourself,” is part of the interactive Yoko Ono: The River exhibition at the Gardiner Museum.
A description on the museum’s website reads: “Visitors are invited to pick up a stone and hold it, concentrating on the word, and then placing the stone upon the pile of other stones in the center of the room.”
Police said a woman, described as aged 55 to 60, walked away with the stone, which is valued at $17,500 U.S.
The theft occurred on March 12 at 5:35 p.m., according to police.
