The Rolling Stones are warming up for the release of the deluxe version of their 1973 album Goats Head Soup with a new recording of “Criss Cross.”

Stones fans may recognize the track as “Criss Cross Man” or “Save Me,” recorded during the 1972-1973 sessions for Goats Head Soup but never officially released.

The song came with a video directed by Diana Kunst and starring Marina Ontanaya.

It is one of three previously unreleased songs on the re-issue, which comes out Sept. 4. The others are “All the Rage” and “Scarlet” – the latter featuring Jimmy Page on guitar and Blind Faith’s Rick Grech on bass.

According to a press release, “All the Rage” has “a wild, post-‘Brown Sugar’ strut” and “the layered guitar textures of ‘Scarlet’ make for a track that’s as infectious and raunchy as anything the band cut in this hallowed era.”

The new Goats Head Soup will be available as a CD (with a new stereo mix), a double-disc package and several vinyl editions as well as a four-CD box set that includes a 15-track live album recorded in Belgium in 1972 (and previously released by the band in 2012), a 120-page book and four posters.
