Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith has unveiled “You Don’t Wanna Hear It,” the first single from his forthcoming album Hermitage.
“It’s a song about someone who has their nose all out of joint about something and are not in the mood to hear the truth,” the 56-year-old Juno winner explained, in a release.
Hermitage was recorded in the living room of Sexsmith’s new home in Stratford, Ont. with producer Don Kerr – with Sexsmith playing every instrument except drums.
In May, Sexsmith will hit the road for a seven-city tour of Canada. Tickets, which include a link to download the new album, go on sale Jan. 21 at 12 noon local time. He will then head across the pond for six shows in England, Scotland and Ireland.
