Hot on the heels of her smash hit "Espresso," Sabrina Carpenter has announced she will be releasing a new album called Short n’ Sweet this summer.
The singer's sixth studio album will arrive August 23 via Island Records.
On her socials, Carpenter wrote that "this project is quite special to me and i hope it’ll be something special to you too."
Carpenter added that she will "also have a surprise coming for you on thursday night so keep an eye out!!"
The former Disney star discussed working on her next album back in February during a discussion with Maya Hawke for Interview Magazine.
“I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I’m making now because I’ve realized that genre isn’t necessarily the most important thing,” she explained. “It’s about honesty and authenticity and whatever you gravitate towards. There were a lot of genres in my last album, and I like to think I’ll continue that throughout writing music.”
The following month, she told Cosmopolitan that music for her is about moving forward.
"I’m trying to really take this experience in before moving on to the next thing…but I’ve been working on the next thing for a minute," she said. "I’m starting to feel like I’ve outgrown the songs I’m singing, which is always an exciting feeling because I think that means the next chapter is right around the corner."
Carpenters can pre-order a copy of her album on vinyl, CD or cassette here.
