Sam Smith isn't exactly “way too good at goodbyes.”
The 26-year-old singer recently opened up about his break-up with actor Brandon Flynn, admitting he hasn't quite gotten over it.
“Brandon was wonderful,” Smith told The Times UK. “I’m still trying to figure out what I took from that relationship and what it meant to me. It’s still quite raw.
“All my relationships have ended in a nice way, never nasty.”
While Smith said he wanted to keep their relationship private, he acknowledged there were benefits to having their PDAs captured by paparazzi.
“Seeing gay relationships is important and refreshing,” he said.
While Smith continues to go through the emotions of his breakup, he said he's focusing on his music career more than ever. “Right now, the thought of getting into a relationship is too much. I just want to marry my job, work really hard and hopefully, when I’m not looking for [love], it will come,” he shared.
Smith said he's the perfect boyfriend. “I love sending flowers, leaving notes around the house and making thoughtful presents,” he said. “I feel like I’m in a Richard Curtis film all the time. Which is bad, because I think everything should be like a movie and I get anxiety when it’s not.”
