Producer and songwriter Linda Perry and her wife of five years, actress Sara Gilbert, have split.
Gilbert filed for legal separation in Los Angeles on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences. According to the Associated Press, she asked that neither of them receives spousal support.
Perry, 54, is the former singer of 4 Non Blondes who has penned and produced hits for artists like P!nk, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera. She has earned four Grammy nominations and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.
Perry and Gilbert, who started dating in 2011, have a four-year-old son, Rhodes. Gilbert has two children from a previous relationship.
