Sarah McLachlan is preparing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy with a North American tour in 2024.
The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour will kick off in Seattle on May 25 and include two Canadian dates: Toronto's Budweiser Stage on June 19 and Laval's Bell Place on June 20.
Feist has been announced as the opening act for all dates, except for Toronto, where Allison Russell will support.
The BC-based singer-songwriter revealed the tour on socials with a video that pokes fun of her super-sad SPCA commercials. "I'm not here to make you cry while showing you the saddest puppies and kittens you've ever seen," she says with a big grin.
In a statement, McLachlan explained her decision for the tour. "I think it's interesting as an artist or as a human for that matter, to be able to go back and look at a postcard of a time in your life and reflect on it," she said. "I think this tour is going to be a real walk down memory lane for me, and I'm hoping that my audience, many of whom have been with me for 30 years, will also be able to go back in time with me."
Tickets are set to go on sale this Friday (December 15) at noon local time, with presales beginning tomorrow (December 12). More information can be found here.
