Sarah McLachlan earned her first Grammy nomination in a decade this year – but don’t expect to see her on the red carpet next month.
“I’m going surfing in Hawaii,” the Canadian singer, whose 50th birthday is the same day as the Grammys ceremony, said on the Soul Sisters podcast.
“I’m a little bummed because I would have loved to have gone.”
MacLachlan will have to check online to find out if her holiday collection Wonderland wins Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album on Jan. 28.
Earlier in the interview, McLachlan spoke about how age and experience has shaped her.
“I don’t give a s**t what anyone thinks anymore.”
