Unfortunately for Sean Kingston, somebody actually called 911.
The singer/rapper (real name Kisean Paul Anderson) and his mother, Janice Turner, were arrested and charged with fraud and theft after a SWAT team raided his house in Southwest Ranches, FL yesterday (May 23).
According to TMZ, Kingston was taken into custody after performing at Fort Irwin in the Mojave Desert, and will be booked into the San Bernardino County Jail.
Kingston was recently sued for breach of contract by Ver Ver Entertainment, which sells and installs high-end television and sound systems. In the lawsuit, the company alleges that in September 2023, Kingston inquired about purchasing a 232-inch TV and sound system from them, offering to film promos with Justin Bieber to promote the company, in exchange for a discount on the entertainment system. Kingston reportedly gave a $30,000 down payment, but failed to pay the remainder of the $110,000 owed or deliver on the Bieber-assisted promo.
Of course, Kingston scored a big hit in 2010 with the song "Eenie Meenie," featuring Justin Bieber. The court documents reveal that Kingston told Ver Ver that he and Bieber still share a “current and ongoing working relationship” together.
Authorities have yet to say whether the fraud and theft charges are related to Ver Ver's lawsuit.
Kingston posted a story on Instagram, updating the situation, saying, "People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!.. my lawyers are handling everything as we speak."
